The flavenol antioxidants in cacao nibs have been shown to be higher than in blueberries, green tea and red wine. Flavenols are great at unclogging arteries, and reducing the incidence of blood clots in the circulatory system. Raw cacao also contains healthy monounsaturated fats, similar to those in olive oil, known to raise good cholesterol (HDL) levels.
